Ne, Kuro-kun...how bad is it? Is mom gonna kill me, y'think?

[The answer was probably. She'd probably kill her for the stunt she'd just pulled. After class, what usually happens is that Natsumi and her body guard meet up halfway between their rooms. Because they go to separate classes, it's the best compromise they can work out, seeing as the yakuza daughter refuses to make him walk all the way to her class.

Today things were a little different. Different in that Kuro was able to make it all the way to and even in her classroom, the girl locked in a fight with a classmate of hers. Her fingers had been in his hair, and the two of them had looked worse for wear. It's the known body guard entering the room that broke them up, but a lot of damage had already been done. Her mom was probably going to be mad about both the fact that she instigated something in class, but also managed to break her wrist and earn a black eye and bloody nose, among other bruises.

She's sitting still and letting him look her over, not at all regretting what she did despite the question.]

[ his tone's about as gruff as ever, but kuro's hand on natsumi's chin as he tilts her face up - he's too tall, even seated - is as gentle as ever. it's the sort of contradiction that's usual; the scary face and strength matched against a tendency to mother hen and a knack for sewing. ]

At least the eye and nose will fade, but the wrist will take a while to heal...tch. Well, you got in some hits of your own - but I'd appreciate it if you called me in sooner next time...or at all.

[For him, she was willing to behave and be a good patient. In most cases she'd put up a fuss, talk about how she could take care of herself just fine, but it was different when she was in his care.]

[ he doesn't get the "tool" way of thinking the way pekoyama does, but kuro is used to being a weapon and doesn't particularly mind it.

[ no real objections, since natsumi is the one in charge and as long as he's allowed to tag along, who cares? it's not like they have a deadline on getting back just yet. he'll speak up if curfew gets close, but otherwise... ]

[Even though she's sitting up straight again, she still sounds completely dejected. She needs something sweet, but has no energy to think about how to get that without just. Hitting the grocery store or something. She reaches up and takes his hand with her good one, tugging him closer so she can just rest her head against his side.]

Just bury me. That's a good use of our afternoon, right?
